Solidarity for Long-term Sustainability

2024.Page1.Banner.jpg
This is the Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
The insatiable greed for more energy and natural resources is not sustainable forever.
Solidarity at all levels -- local, national, international -- is the only way to sustainability.
Responsible parenthood. Responsible consumption. Responsible waste disposal. Else,
dark times ahead; and energy-intensive technologies are making matters worse by way of
increasing entropy and complexity. As long we ignore the common good, technological miracles
are not coming to the rescue. A cultural revolution of social/ecological solidarity is now indispensable.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female,
for you are all one in Christ Jesus." (Galatians 3:28)

PATRIARCHY is a deeply ingrained gender ideology.
There can be no integral human development
as long as
religious patriarchy
lurks in the collective unconscious.

For 1.4B Catholics,
1 November 2025
will mark the
75th Anniversary
of the dogma of the
ASSUMPTION
of Mary of Nazareth.
This would be a good
time to transcend
CANON 1024.

Why Oil Prices Don't Rise to Consistently High Levels
Gail Tverberg, Our Finite World, 19 August 2025
"The price issue is basically a physics issue because the world economy operates under
the laws of physics... The danger is that the world economy is growing increasingly fragile
because of long-term changes related to added complexity... Both history and physics suggest
that “overshoot and collapse over a period of years” is the outcome we should expect."

Overshoot, Complexity, Collapse, and Ways Forward
Population Balance, Shrink Toward Abundance, 19 August 2025
"Modern techno-industrial civilization is running up against the law of diminishing returns...
We examine ... the patriarchal pronatalism that fuels overpopulation, the growth-obsessed
economic systems that drive consumerism and social injustice, and the dominant worldview
of human supremacy that subjugates animals and nature.... Our vision of shrinking toward
abundance inspires us to seek pathways of transformation that go beyond technological fixes
toward a new humanity that honors our interconnectedness with all of life."
